This book will definitely not be everyone's cup of tea. It's dark and disturbing but it's also a love story. I guess you can consider it in the realm of dark romance that is popular right.
Let me start by saying that yes the two main characters are serial killers but they are serial killers of other serial killers. Meaning they take out the most depraved people already out there. Kinda like vigilantes.
They decide to have yearly competitions to see who can get to the target first and take them out. While they compete against each other in their friendly game they start to develop a few feelings for each other and it gets even more interesting.
Between the action and murder is quite a bit of humor of all things. You wouldn't think it but this book is quite funny in a dark way.
Cookies and cream ice cream may be ruined for you. Orzo pasta may be ruined as well. The pasta might be ruined on the first page.
There's some spiciness in there as well but it's not overdone. The spiciness does not overshadow the plot of the book.
If you like audiobooks definitely download this one because the main male character is Irish and the accent is top notch.
So take the trigger warnings very very seriously but if you think you can handle it I highly recommend!
